Intellectual, and Idiocracy ....

One of the local car-accessory stores out this way (Car Toys) has a couple of ads on the radio, trumpeting the "safety advantages" of their gizmos. One of them is for some collision avoidance technology, which will warn you if the car in front of you stops too quickly. I call bullshit on that one, it is psychobabble for "you are following too closely". Pay attention to what you're doing and you won't get surprised when someone if front of you stops. :bs_flag:

Another ad is two moms gushing about the safety features of a new aftermarket stereo, and how it allows the driver to text, read email, and make calls hands-free while driving. Gee, Idiot-Moms, how about tell your kids to actually drive when they are driving the car, instead of multitasking and operating the vehicle as an afterthought?
