My new stance

Properly updated the torsion bar suspension can perform just as well as any of the aftermarket coilover stuff. You can shave a few more lbs with the coilover conversions, add a rack and pinion, and you get some header clearance, but that's about all you get for an extra couple grand in spending. Oh, and the need to reinforce your shock towers and stiffen the front end of the car to put suspension loads where they weren't designed to be carried. Personally, I LIKE the torsion bar suspension once you take care of updated a few things, it has some nice advantages. But to each their own I guess.

As for the rear bar, using a Hellwig E-body bar, #6908, seems to work well. That's what @72BBSwinger is running on his car with a 3" relocation.

Thank you!!! I am going to order one today.

On using the E-Body Rear Hellwig #6908 sway bar. It's better to weld in a 2-1/2" sq tube inside the frame above your spring relocation bracket to mount a your pin through to attach your end links. Just an thought for anyone wanting a 3" spring relocate and sway bar.

Thats what I was planning on doing...
