interesting twist here. I just re installed the water pump on my 440/505 yesterday, after a cam swap. I didn`t have pump to block gaskets so I made them. Used a gasket shipping box, 2 layers, thick, spray painted all sides of the 4 gaskets w/ ultra silver spray paint. 1ST time I`ve ever used it on paper gaskets.-------------Least of my worries, had a ***** of a time getting the timing cover on w/ a new piece of cork gasket underneath it where it meets the stud girdle. fingers crossed-----
