Been fighting the car to hook with MT drag radials so got some new Hoosier Qtp's. Taking it out tomorrow for a test I will report back with the results.

How much power are you making and what rpm are you launching? They worked great on my little small block running 13.1.

640 hp and the converter flashes to 5200.

Why not switch to a full slick? Are you wanting to race in DOT tire drags? I know a few guys that run small tire races and they run the m/t ET street radial pro. They also are running a 10” rim on a 275 tire and have know more about chassis then I ever will.

Street car, it hooks fine at the track the radials were dangerous on the street.

Now I’m qualified to speak about the qtp on the street. I ran those on my car for over a year and got caught in the rain twice. If it is dry then you are fine just don’t run low air pressure but if it rains then good luck because it’s some white knuckle driving.

Ok done testing, totally different hooks awsome but drives like **** . I still have radials on the front think I will switch them to bias to see if it helps the wandering.

I had QTP's on my Challenger years ago. The only thing I didn't like about them was they will go flat sitting in the garage. They leak very slowly thru the sidewalls, unless that has been fixed since I had mine. I had several friends whos QTP's did the same thing.

2 thick coats on the inside with dawn dish soap solves that issue.

That's awesome. Wish I'd known that when I still had them. I put mine on 2 extra 15 x 7 Rallye wheels to take to car shows that were at a dragstrip. They always hooked good. Heavy 71 Challenger convertible with a 340 Six Pak went 13.20's consistently.
