That's a very good point. I've sent that link to Jim to get his take on it.

They may sell more balancers if people knew for sure they worked on Magnums, which they do.
Guys here have proven it, just like the earlier posts in this thread.

OK so here's the latest and hopefully final chapter.

Jim at Professional Products didn't realize at first that the 5.9 Magnum existed after 97. I think his application data was designed by someone else, who he said is a former Chrysler engineer. He also was not correct about the year it was designed, as these were designed in 2002. Therefore I think it's a safe bet to say that the whoever did the application data specified 93-97 because of the change at some point to the one piece balancer/pulley assembly that chrysler did. Who knows if aftermarket pulleys were available in 2002 when it was designed, so in theory you couldn't just swap in a new balancer.

He confirmed the weight we are referring to (91013) IS the correct weight for a 5.9 Magnum. I would assume the 80012 (and 90012) balancer is correct to use on this motor when that weight is used. He is going to do a deep dive on the application data and revise the instructions and relevant notations to correct the application list (assuming he confirms what he has told me).

For our purposes, I'd say we are correct and that this balancer and weight are good to use on our magnums.

You can even use the 80012 balancer with 91013 weight to replace the one piece factory serpentine drive hub on the newer Magnum engines when doing an engine swap, if you had one of those newer engines to begin with.
So basically, this balancer and weight combo fits all 360 Magnum engines, you just have to choose pulleys as needed, and don't forget about the Magnum weighted flex plate or torque convertor, whichever you have.

I have the cheaper of the two PP dampers on my 5.9 magnum. I think my instructions were pretty clear on which weight to use. I think there were 3 weights in the box. My balancer fits fine and has worked great. I only spin it to 5500-6000 RPM though.
