OK, pictures help. This is my '68 cuda, yours should be the same or similar. We are looking at the right side. On my car and on your car- that hole in the door allows you access to the allen bolt seen here, or maybe on your car a phillips screw. This screw along with others allow you to adjust the position of the "A" frame to the body/ weatherstrip.If I were to put an allen wrench through that hole to make an adjustment, the allen bolt itself is about 1 1/2" inside the panel.
