Anyone ever tried welding a short bushing to the outside of the upper hood hinge pin hole to help keep the main hinge from being able to rock so much on the worn pin and hinge hole?

Jim, I’m looking at the same issue myself. I’ve found some bushings with a flange on them that I’m going to slide over the pins, cut to a length so that I can install the star washer & keep the hinge assembly from walking on the bushing. Only concern is I have to drill the hinge holes out an additional 1/16”
