73 Duster with Cragar V-5 Black Steelies

you should have your own TV show. I would also like to see you put a 205 75 15 on an 8" rim and call it good while bashing the OP's tire choice , you can't have it both ways. if I were to show you what the tires are on , it's definitely far from a 4x4. and they are not 27" tall. and yes I ordered them and know what size they are . your just full of yourself smart one.

This is very simple. If your tires aren’t 27” tall, they aren’t 205/75/15’s. If the section width isn’t roughly 8”, then they aren’t 205/75/15’s. And you said you put them on 7” wide rims, which is fine. They don’t belong on 8” rims either, and I never said that was ok, so there’s no conflict there. They’re both stupid ideas.

So let’s look at what 205/75/15 actually means, since you don’t seem to know. It’s not just some meaningless description, those are actually the dimensions of the tire. 205 is the width, 75 is a description of the sidewall height, and 15 is the rim diameter.

205mm = 8.07”

That’s the width of the tire. Not 4.5”, no reason for any redneck YouTube fireballs to mount those on a 7” rim

75 is the height of the sidewall as a percentage of the width. 75% in this case

So 205 x .75 = 153.75mm = 6.05”

Now, that’s only 1 sidewall, so double it and add the diameter of the rim

6.05 x 2 = 12.1” + 15” = 27.1”

That’s the height of the tire.

So, if you’re 205/75/15’s aren’t 27” tall or 8” wide, well, they aren’t 205/75/15’s. Pretty easy right?
