I have a 93 Dakota, with 6 lug wheels, and I am considering switching from 6 lug to 5 lug wheels. -- Has anyone switched from a 87 thru 90 Dakota (5 lug wheels) to a 91 thru 96 Dakota. ---- Is it as simple as switching axles and brake drums, on the rear, and rotors, on the front ?

I believe it is, I know for sure the front is just a rotor swap, easy bolt on

6 lug wheels. is it EZ 2 swap to a 5 lug wheel?

Older Daks are 5 x 4 1/2" bolt circle, newer ones are 5 x 5??1/2?? whatever same as 1/2 ton RAM, I've thought about this AKA using a Dak frame/ running gear for a "hotrod" like an old '50's Dodge body, look "funny" with 6 bolt.

O'course LMFAO, if you were gonna put a CHIVVVY body on, the 6 bolt would be just right!!!

-- Nice !! -- Is it as simple as I said ?

You can do just axles and new or redrill drums on the rear. I put a 70 Cuda 8 3/4 rear in my truck. The front I had to redrill the hubs and the rotors. They are separate on my truck. Don't know what your year has.

Just found the , needed, axles in a Salvage Yard. -- Still not sure if 88, front, rotors will fit, without changing spindles ???
