Considering purchasing this Dart

No way in HELL that is worth 20k, and his add is chocked full of enough incorrect terminology to seem like a scam. "3:89 spool positive traction" But then, most people wouldn't buy a car with NO VIN identification, and it's got salvage history also. Run from that pile!!!!!!

He's right, you probably cannot build that car for what his is asking. On the other side of the coin, it depends upon how well it was built, if any short cuts were taken, & a host of other gremlins that can show up. I would have a trusted friend with me who isn't enamored with shiny things. A second set of eyes from a friend who will keep you sane before jumping in would be a good idea. I'm not downing the car, I'm just saying "Buyer beware".

Trunk is complete with a primer spray job over the quickly re-appearing rust, notice the expert red over spray all over the trunk seal, also notice the heater hoses routed to the rear of the engine, and looped back together, wiring is a total hack job, 1/4s butchered to ****, under chassis looks like a black spray bomb

Haha yes and he said a-834 transmission which I dont think exists.
I was thinking 15k-16k. Id have to ask him about the vin information, but if it is titled, wouldn’t it have to have a VIN?

And the factory super stocks were hardtops, not post cars, he's even wrong on that. It honestly looks like a chevy guy built it, notice all his stupid miss use of buzzwords like "scat pack" AND, notice he said the clear coat is peeling off. The car is a pos, for sale buy a idiot, who's fixing to "move off grid" in my opinion, you would be crazy to even consider looking at it.

Right on. The search continues

You can only use a A-834 with a Strange sure grip spool,

and who ever did the 1/4's need's kicked in the nads

You might want to have a local look at it. This car has been for sale for quite some time.

“Sold on an AZ Restored Salvage title showing 41,900 Box 'A' (original) miles. Car has been inspected by both CA and AZ motor vehicle departments and safety certified for daily use. Currently titled and registered in my name in AZ. Car started out life as a slant 6 w/auto trans. No original data plates visible.

I was told by the previous owner (and builder of the car) that this was an insurance theft recovery, and NOT a 'total' due to some accident.”

im local to it. One of the main concerns I have is the frame totally coated heavy. No way to know.

Also @brian6pac and @replicaracer43 how are the 1/4s messed up? Teach me something

Look at a pic of a real hemi super stock dart, they didn't even get the hack job on the 1/4s right, it's just cut to look like the front fender. There is a reason the guy is gonna move "off the grid" as soon as he sells this pile of garbage, it's so you can't find him

Im no expert..believe me. But just looking at it and reading the ad would make me very leary. Words like salvage and accident scare me. Something just doesnt seem right there.
The pic of the quarter is pretty ridiculous. The trunk in primer seems to be a sign of hiding something.
I didnt notice the heater hoses until it was mentioned, but thats just weird. Whoever said the wiring is a hackjob has a much better eye than me cuz I dont see that.
Overall, something just doesnt sit well with me about that ad....much less the car.
Btw, Id call him just to ask what the deal is with the 2 filters...lol.

The quarters were probably rotted over the wheel house and instead of replacing sheet metal.......hacked into a super stock.

looks to me like they had pulled the engine and when it went back in, they hooked everything back up properly
fired the engine up and when the thermostat opened up the got luke warm coolant pouring out the buster heater core, down the dash and into their shoes
and since there are few things worse then wet sock, they decided to fix it...by bypassing the heater core

If you are buying a "restored" or built car from someone you know you can TRUST that is the way to go.....or.... buy a roller and you or your shop of choice BUILD the car. Yes it will cost many $$ either way. I much rather hunt a done car off a site like FABO or other enthusiast sites like FB many times over,... than the idiot site of CL!!! Buyer be aware ( very aware). just me

As stated, the wiring looks..interesting.

Run away from that car!
As all of the others mentioned of it's flaws and description, the one thing in particular is him stating that he's moving ''off the grid'' and to me that sounds very suspicious.
He either is a druggie or is moving away to get away from his child support.
Worst yet, he might be wanted by the police or something similar.
Steer clear of someone like that...............

Look at the rear wheelwell. The radius isn't even smooth. This car was probably cobbled together out of a few other cars. BAIL!

Off the grid means he's headed to jail for 10-15.
