I just purchased a 1975 Duster which has been a race car almost all of its life, 5,3xx original miles. Car is extremely clean inside and out. This car has been mostly campaigned in stock and superstock as a 340 73 car, at times also with 360 I'm told. I have purchased as a roller for now and will get either the stock or superstock engine from previous owner as budget allows. I'm looking forward to getting into racing!

Cool! Where is "Edson"?
You may be in a "hornets nest" in Stock, probably between E/SA and G or H/SA, but that's what the car appears to be set up for (9" tires. Like the Holeshot Wheels. They are kinda local to me.). SS may problematic with the higher maintenance & if you have budget concerns. But best of luck either way. Looking forward to more pics & info.

Edson is in Alberta Canada. The car has raced in both G/SA, and H/SA, and most recently was very competitive in SS/JA. I will likely buy the stocker engine as that is most realistic for my current budget. Will also get the Protrans 904 that was with it. I have a very steep learning curve ahead of me, but have a very nice platform to work with.

Yes, looks like a nice, sorted out combo. Glad to hear the original owner is available for help/advice.. The Thermoquad is my biggest challenge.

The 340 has a better factor, someone bommed the record with the 360, not sure if NHRA has eased off on it yet. Good looking car by the way, still working on my 70 for E-Stock auto.

Any pics?

Still on the rotisserie, moly cage done, need to paint back sides of doors and fenders. Could take some pics while in progress I guess, never thought of that.

What did the Moly cage runin cost?
Tubing cost around $300 I did the bending-welding myself. Read the rule book wrong, just wanted the hoop but I used 1-5/8 and just a hoop has to be 1-3/4 so just converted to a cage.
