You didn't touch the wiring but now it won't start? Does it do anything? A click? A bang? A moan? When you turn on the key, is there juice at the relay? Are you getting juice to the starter? Is there juice to the ignition?Help us out.

nothing when i turn the key, juice to the relay lights up test light ,if you jump it at the relay with key on motor turns over has to be the way the starter ,key is wired now with 340 motor do i need a starter solnoild ?

If you have juice to the relay and you can jump it and it turns the motor over (but not with the key), then you have a neutral switch problem. That should be a purple wire going to the tranny or to the console. You can also hot wire the car by running a jumper wire from the positive cable or relay to the coil and then cross relay wires to start.

Check ur shifter linkage of its an auto. Mine did the same then i ran it through gears and my linkage was just a little off. It showed park but wasnt actually in park

You could just check the brown wire on the starter relay G terminal and confirm it is grounded in park or neutral. There are so many links and actual wiring diagrams on this site there is no need to post anymore JMO. There is much more to it but it’s a start.

"Sigh." Go to MyMopar and download a shop manual/ wiring diagram. Was the 64 originally an automatic? h.

Did you connect the neutral safety switch on the new transmission? On the transmission, the old transmission had a single post switch. Your new one likely has THREE. You need the center one, hook that to the starter relay, which has FOUR terminals. Two of them are "push on" flag terminals. One should be YELLOW from the key 'start'. The second one goes down to the neutral switch on the transmission

Good reminder- you can bypass the neutral switch by grounding the brown wire at the relay.

..........Also it could easily be linkage adjustment, especially since it's a swap. If you think everything is properly connected, hold the key to "start" while wiggling the lever from P to N and back, listed for engine try to crank, or at least a click tells you that you are on the right track
