Seen in aug 1967 Car Magazine.
We like these old stuff, don´t we... :)

Its funny how many Mopar guru's have told me there was no 67' GTS......yet here they are.

Yes absolutely. If I only could find the smal article in the back of one of these magazines. Like a real small notice, telling about the this package from Dodge. Picture IIRC was the ff badge...
 
back in the mid 80's, my friend had an original 67 383 dart, but I could have sworn it was not badged as GTS but merely GT.
 
Yes rusty, could very well be.
The model was bit of a hasty thing it seems and not offered till fall of ´68. Think less than 500.
It was all about selling car than, and this guy heard about the BB and wants one in his Dart, so drop one in and deliver it…
Badge or not... what are you waiting for... :)

ok, maybe I'm not losing it (yet). IIRC, it had the "383, Four Barrel" badge, but it just had the "GT" badge above it.
 
Every one that I've seen has the GTS letters on the fenders. The 383 emblem wouldn't fit right with the GT emblem. Remember that these cars did have the GT emblem in the grille and on the tail panel.
 
I own a 67 gts 4 speed. 457 made. 229 4 Speeds 228 autos. Mines a 4 speed. Even approx 8-10 convertibles were made. Call out on front fender said gts 383 four barrell. Back trunk finish panel said Dart gt just like gt model.
 
You never know though with Chrysler. A few might of slipped out with just GT on the front fender. It was a mid year production run.

maybe somebody remembers the car I'm talking about. It was blue and passed thru a few hands in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. The last owner I know of was Chris B. He later put a 440 in it. I haven't seen it since the mid 90's.
 
I have owned my 67 GTS 383 with auto since brand new in May 1967. 383 long gone but now running Hensley 499" stoker.
 
now that we kinda got that sorted, what's the story on the 68 dart grille nose piece? I've only seen a couple of them. I know my new 68 gts didn't have it, and damn near every other one I've seen don't have it. I saw one today at a car show in graham, wa. If I knew how to upload a pic, I'd do it.
 
I found and purchased a '67 Dart GTS 383, console 4 speed, CONVERTIBLE out of a JY. No motor or trans, medium green, white bucket interior and white top. Sold it, but it's still around, maybe it will be restored someday???????
It had GTS above the 383 rectangular emblem on the fenders, standard GT emblem on the trunk lid.

TALK ABOUT A RARE BB A-BODY!!!!!!!!!!!!

No rhyme nor reason on the grill beak. It appears from my research that the beak went on the very early 68 builds. My GTS which went down the line on December 28, 1967 with no beak. I post awhile back on a thread concerning the beak. I also posted the part number.

On that GT badged GTS, I would want to see the VIN. It might have been a real early one or a conversion. It looks nice, but a couple of small issues. They had turn down tips not the 340 style. I had one of those convertibles. I bought it from a junk yard in central VA maybe 20, 25 years ago.
