SS Springs and Slide a links

I have the slide a links but not the SS springs. In fact I bought the S-a-L from of guy here on FABO just haven't had a chance to test with them yet.

I'd say it's ok. You may have the spring working against the bar, but I doubt it.

Also, for some reason (my luck) the bushing in the front spring eye on my car was a different diameter than anything else so the bushings that came with the springs wouldn't work.

Luckily, I have a bunch of scrap aluminum here and I just made my own bushings. Still, it was a PITA. And of course, no one else ever heard of a spring with that diameter front bushing. I have the only one EVER made! Again, my luck.
Slide a links WORK , especially with stick shift combination
For what I know : S.S. springs fight the Cal Tracs , not necessarily the Slides. What I have seen dropping the clutch on a 425-450 horsepower 327 ,in a 4:56 geared 66 Nova . ( it was, gutted, and caged. Went 11:7 ,@ 116....
Using Slides...closed exhaust, street radials ...not dot legal stuff
