Looking for information for my 66 Dart. I am thinking about going to PS from the manual steering. I have a ps box and also a ps column and coupler. Was wondering if I would have to change any other items such as steering linkage? I thought i had read before that you do but didn't find anything on a search. Also i am going to be running TTI headers which i am sure will give me more greif!!
Appreciate any info you can pass my way.
Thanks

I don't see why you would have to change any steering linkage, maybe just the pitman arm off the box, and don't know why you would have to change that, maybe just so it will fit the new box

Me Mike, you may be right. I checked with Napa and also a company called rare parts and all listings are the same for manual vs ps. I just thought I read once something needs changed but I guess I was wrong. Iblucked out and a friend gave me a power steering box. I'm going to try to put a seal kit in it. Thanks for replying.

The manual steering column has value to people doing the other way too. I extended my ps shaft to go to a manual box. I did enjoy the power steering when I had it but had to lose it when I installed my headers. Take notes and pics of the column if you take it apart as there are many quirky bits and bolts in the turn signal cam area.

Pishta,
Im wondering what brand of headers you have and what problems would you have had? I have a set of TTI's and Im hoping i can still use the PS. I guess I should go out and look at my headers on the car and see what issue I might run into.
