My best friend just returned from an expensive tooth cleaning session using laser. That is a new one on me:

Side note: Back circa 1980, I was "attacked" in the hallway of one of the wings of my Community College by a horde of pretty girls in white uniforms. Turns out they were dental hygiene students recruiting patients for them to "practice" on. I "reluctantly" gave in to one of the girls (Andrea) who looked a little like a young Elizabeth Taylor. Since I was her "first" patient, it took three appointments to finish my mouth. By that time, I had fallen in love with her, asked her to a party, and we even dated for a couple of years.

Well, here is something I found she wrote on the back of a round cocktail coaster from ‘Stuart Anderson’s Restaurants’:

"I am counting the minutes until our next encounter. My heart palpates every time I think of you, and my body quivers. My darling, I can’t control myself any longer. I must have you. Dream of me. Your passionate admirer."

And in a "love" letter:

"Yes, I still have that “black bra”. You can have it back in 3 weeks!"

I think you get the "picture."

Light is and has been used for many years. There is an internal light conference every year. They give lectures on some pretty cool medical uses of light.

I read a book by Charles Babbitt (I think that's his name) called The Principles of Light and Color. He was considered a quack for many years. Now it turns out he was right about a lot of his findings.
