No, no, I'm not ticked off! I hear you but I'm trying real hard not to trash the paint if I don't have to. I know for a fact I do not have the vin stamped on: the package tray, the core support, or the cowl. If it is on the trunk lip, its buried in paint. I'm hoping I can find the stamping on the bottom side of the trunk lip.
