Has anyone tried to put the fastback rear seat in a notchback?

There are plates welded to the floor in a fastback, and no cross braces so it would take some serious fabricating to accomplish that...

Why would you want to do this? Even if it folds down, there is all that cross bracing blocking access to the trunk. But I don't think it would fit -- it's narrower, and the rigid back would be too thick. And how would you deal with the package shelf?

I think the seat looks better than the basic rear seat. Cross bracing can be modified and if I mini tub the rear for a bit more meat, fabrication would be needed anyways.

I think it would be pretty cool. Fold down seats are cool and you can get way more stuff in. I think it could be done.

Like I said you can use everything from a duster fold down seat (looks like a barracuda fatback one) from the speaker panel to the side panels(braces) to the brackets and the seat will fit and look correct.

May have to look into that. Thanks
