There is a strange s60 video on YouTube and they claim that because they have gone to a threaded adjuster for setting the backlash that if you already know your shim pack thicknesses you can swap Dana 60 ratios in under an hour. And the Dana is superior in strength to boot.
Like yellow rose said, if you have put a new axle under your ride, it does not make sense to go 8 3/4. The Dana will grow with your performance increases. Even the 8.8 is a better way to go than the 8 3/4 because it is a Salibury type axle. Imho
