You should try it again because a lot of times even with the best equipment a very bad day in a very bad condition nothing can be done. Also maybe a inexperienced Rider with a first-time Rider? I don't think I've ever rode a snowmobile and not seen everybody smiling? these days I just roll the snowmobile out of any hole that it digs for itself but kind of rare also as they don't stick so easy no more...
