If you could get one "upgrade" for your A body, ( stroker kit, cylinder heads, complete wiring, upgraded suspension, you get the point) what would it be? Not saying you could ONLY do one upgrade forever but, what would ya'll splurge on?

disk brakes all four corners definitely no doubt about it.

after that it would headers and free flowing exhaust system with high flow cat, I want to do my part for the environment.

Tires. Toss those old BFG T/A's in the trash and put some decent modern compound tires on there.

Of course, you'd need new rims to do that. And then you'd need new suspension to take advantage of the improvement in handling you'd get with the improved tires. And new suspension of course isn't even one thing, it's a whole bunch of things.

What I WOULDN'T do is spend a bunch of money on horsepower without improving stopping and handling first. But that's why it's never just one thing.

Pro charger...
I have a crap ton of horsepower for no apparent reason but to make things more unreasonable. I guess second would be ac LOL or both at once.

Depends on the intended use of the car;
If you have limited driving skills your car will probably not get modified past the dragracing-level, so engine-power would be important.
If you plan to daily drive the car, steering and suspension/handling would be nice to be modernized a bit. Followed by brakes, tires and then engine power.
If you like to be able to hang with today's traffic, visit a race-circuit one in a while; steering and suspension/handling would be nice to be upgraded. Followed by brakes, tires and then engine power.
But if you are tired, or retired, and never drive over 55... A/C would probably be your best shot at improving your car...

really really nice paint that is silky to the touch and buffable and waxable

I am getting tired of driving around with ratty original paint.

A 572 cubic inch gen 2 hemi with all the fixin's would do it for me.............

Pull this tired ole engine out, overhaul it (stock parts) and a paint job. This is what I am going to spurge on.....

Mechanically, I prefer stock configurations but I do splurge on Sure-Grip conversions in the one wheel peel cars.

I do not mind driving ratty looking cars at all, but body work & paint would be nice.

Just one upgrade..............................................................................426 HEMI???

With the understanding that my two A-bodies are both basket cases at the moment - I'd like my Demon to be in the shape I bought it in back in '90.

I’d throw an alter-k-tion in the dart and trash that damn stock style suspension.
