Went to the CHP yesterday and got the replacement vin tag. Found the vin number on the passenger side trunk lip, for what it's worth. it was the only vin number stamped on the body. CHP was really helpful, no hassle at all. I now have a CHP "blue vin tag" on the drivers side door jamb. From there it was on to the upholstery shop. Car sits nice on the ground.

May I ask what exhaust did you go with, stock or aftermarket headers. Also what oil pan are you using. Currently I am doing a similar build a barracuda with a 6.4. Even my colour is close to your, just by chance. Love your build, going to be awesome.

Oh my goodness !! This turned out super !!

I used 3 inch TTI headers, had to modify one tube to clear the steering shaft. I'm running a Milodon pan and pick up. I'm running Borla mufflers, it's loud!
The color is Punaluu Stone by PPG.

Thank you memike. I'm hearing talk from some individuals that the car needs to go to the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona. The individual said "no one puts a Dart in the GNRS, this one needs to go." I'll post pictures as the upholstery gets done. I settled on Camel and charcoal as interiors colors.

I started this car to define cars “just as good as fill in the blank “. Along the way I’ve met many amazing people. So if it makes it to Pomona it’s for all of us.

the same with my little build, not sure if you know the 11 year history of my little lady Victoria or not, but I drove her with a /6 I updated a bunch and drove her 7 years, now I have pulled the /6 and going 360, I have a restoration thread going and I have met so many great members here that bought this car for me. Long story.. but I am doing it for all of us, my way she will always look like the same car I got over 11 years ago

Good for you! I admire for your path forward . If my car had come with a /6 I might have done something different . Stay with your dream, we all need to chase the dream.

When I was 24 fresh out of the USAF I drove a friend of mine’s 1968 Dart 340. As the saying of the day goes, “ it blew my mind”! Fast forward a whole bunch of years I hope this car does the Dart justice.

congrats on the vin. that dart is looking sweet. now you need to bring it down for spring fling next year

You’re right I do! By then all the car showing will be done. I might have the car in the Grand National Roadster Show, at least I’m being encouraged to enter it.

Hey Ron - Beautiful car!Get your entry filled out and turned in ASAP for the GNRS.
www.rodshows.com/pdf/2019-gnrs-forms/2019%20GNRS%20Vehicle%20Inside%20Entry%20Form.pdf

The entry cutoff date is November 1 if you didn't already know.

Our Inland Mopars Car Club is going to have a 12-car display at the 2019 GNRS since it will be our 25th anniversary of the club. I'm looking forward to seeing your Dart there!
Unfortunately, my painter has taken way too long with my '69 Dart and it's not going to be ready by January.

OC, I know what you mean. I spent the evening reading the show requirements, I don't think I'm going to crazy on the floor display. Tying up a ton of money on polished stainless or aluminum to see an under side sprayed with lizardskin doesn't make a lot of sense to me, plus I'd have to transport it all from Nor Cal. What's your opinion?
