Ive been looking at some Kerkey seats and Im wondering will they be comfortable enough for say a road trip. What are you guys using and how comfortable are they .

I would shy away from a racing seat unless you are really racing. They look good but are not comfortable. I bought a set a while back and did not like how narrow they were. Not good for comfort

I was looking at how narrow they were that's why I was asking if anyone had used them.

I'm have also been looking at seats, has any one used these seats from ebay.

I was looking at those as well but, decided I didn't want to get branded by the hot vinyl every time I got in.. I love the look the Kirkey's provide, but they would prevent my kids from getting in the back seat.
I opted for a set Summit offers that's very similar, only with cloth in the middle and minus the bling stitching. (You're right FamousBob )
They aren't very light weight at 33lbs each with sliders/mounts. But my kids can get in, and they are comfortable.

YES. That was the added plus, they're much narrower. I can get my hand between the seat and door to get my seat belt. I had to open the door to do that with the OEM seats..

The kirky seats are fit to you. You measure the with of your *** and buy the seat that fits.

Mine weigh around 5LBS with the covers on.
They are crazy light.

You're right about that... but that means I'd have to measure my wife too. wasn't going there :)

Which upholstery did you use on yours? A buddy of mine used the top-end covers in his Super Stock cars, they are crazy comfortable. Expensive too.

I did have to measure my girlfriends *** and YES that was an awkward conversation...

If I remember correctly, the covers were like 100-150 each. I have different driver and passenger seats. My driver seat is full upright with high bolsters and the passenger seat is like 30 degrees lay back with medium bolsters.

The only issue with the seats in a street car is the seat back height. It makes it harder to back up but the added saftie that the seats provide far outweighs that one annoyance.

I forgot I also got the helmet bolsters for the driver seat but I leave the off when driving on the street as you cant see to change lanes with them on.

I put 3 back up cameras in the 29 ford sedan delivery street rod and mounted the 3 displays where the rear view mirror would be, 1 camera on the rear and 1 on each side where the side mirror's would be, it was really cool you could just look up and you could see all around the truck.

I've been thinking about a back up camera, we put one on the shop truck and it was a big help.

I got it wrong my zero lay back driver seat is the medium bolsters.
