We continue on our project swapping the slant six K member out of the 1970 Dart and installing the V8 K member from the 1974 Special Edition Dart and the 318. I was about to order a suspension kit and realized I had just replaced the idler arm and pitman arm on the slant six suspension. I've looked and it appears as though the part numbers are different from one year to the other.

Am I wrong?
Can I use the power steering box from the slant six 1970 K member? (The one from the 1974 is leaking a bit)

Thank you!

Somewhere around 72/3 they changed the steering setup

You MUST match first, the pitman to the steering box (large vs small spline) Then the pitman, idler, and center link must all match each other, AKA all late model or all earlier model. The tapered studs on the idler, pitman, and tie rod ends (which you can just rotate) pointed up vs down, early vs late

73-76 steering linkage in 69 barracuda..

The only K member which affects things is the 67 which has a 1 year only mount for the idler arm on the K

The LCA/ upper arms/ tie rod ends are not affected
