16:1 vs 24:1 steering

Just got a new PST manual 16:1 box and it takes 1.5 turns lock to lock. Pitman arm and idler arm are stock replacements. I checked this with the front end off the ground. So where does this 3.5 turns lock to lock come from?

Either you’re counting wrong, something’s wrong with the box, or your steering linkage is hitting something before it goes full travel.

With a 16:1 box it should be about 3.5 full rotations of the steering wheel lock to lock. Mine is.
