I am in the process of ordering new suspension and steering parts for my A100 van, on various websites looking at parts I have seen an Idler arm, I have been under my van and cannot even see one,am I missing something? or is this a power steering part only as my van is manual steering. cheers Chris.

Spooks, I have a 65 A 100 truck

and I didn't remember mine having a idler arm but I forget a lot anyway. I Googled this, I hope it helps .

These do not have an Idler arm. I have found a few steering pieces ( very few). I cannot find a left side tie rod , everyone has right side .

That looks just like my 63 Econoline steering. No Idler arm either.

As for left side tie rod end measure up the right side and start digging at the parts store. I bet there is a tie rod end that will work might not be perfect but will work.

Also if your not trying to do an OE restore you could use two right ends and make a new tie rod with the same threads on each end, pain in the but to adjust but it would work.

There is no idler arm on a straight axle front end. You have a pitman arm at the steering box,a drag link from it to one of the steering arms, and a tie rod from the L/STEERING ARM TO R/ STEERING ARM.I have used parts for a dodge A100 AXLE

What parts do you have, do you have any other spares for the A100, thanks to everyone for the swift replies.
