440 camshaft id
is there any way to identify what camshaft I have by casting numbers? On one end it has a casting number of 452 and on the other end it has 822 and another unidentifiable number. There are no stampings on the ends of the shaft. It is from a block number 3898830. I assume it is original. It looks in good shape but I do not know much about it. The goal is to build a moderate hp engine 500 hp. Any references? The crankshaft is a forged one and the rods are “6 pack rods” if that would help at all.
