Gas Cap Opinion time

I ordered the chrome gas cap from AMD. I can’t decide if I should leave it fully chrome, or take the handle off, paint the cap with the body, and just leave the handle chrome.
68 Dart, racing green metallic.
What’s the opinion from FFABO?
Please don’t say fliptop, I love the flip tops, but I don’t like how far they stick out, and I don’t have the patience to recess it properly.

I like the painted look myself. Blends in and less noticeable. I'd tape it up and sandblast the whole thing, then prime and paint.

Paint the whole cap, a chrome gas cap looks like a cheap parts store purchase.
