Installed one of the 16x7 units at the house today! Took me and my brother about 6 hours to assemble and install. Hot day with lots of breaks. That thing is the cats meow! Made in the USA and right here in Georgia. I can now keep the bugs, lizards, leaves and more out the garage and enjoy not having the door closed. Hope it keeps some of the dust and dirt from the gravel road down as well.

Up posistion.

Will post a down tomorrow.

I saw one of those at the fairgrounds one year during the fair. I'd love to have one too!

@Murray - Biggest advantage here in GA is keeping mosquitoes out when you want to work in the garage on hot days and to allow a breeze in. Second advantage I could think of would be letting more light in for garages that have no windows or shop lights in them.

Would be nice. Like to work with door open, rodents and bugs are my 2 biggest problems.

It does all that, and some homeowners associations "If you like those" require the door to be shut at all times. This meets that as well.

Now I understand. I can see that this is a great idea under the circumstances. It becomes a large screen door. Is this a lightweight screen door material or a heavier material? It looks like it has it's own track to slide independently.

Independent track with springs and a cable system. 2x2 aluminum frame. Pretty straight forward and installing the screen was the most challenging part. Easy up/down and heavy weight screen material.

Been trying to keep the fly's and honey bees out of my shop but no luck, I have to keep the door closed and has been a pain trying to do that.
How much did it cost you?

1200 on amazon for 16x7 with SS white privacy screen.

Was going to buy from a local rep plus install but. He had texted my wife to say he be over at a certain time a week ago to confirm it would work for us. He then sent a sexually charged text to my wife by accident as it was meant for someone else! Needless to say he never showed and I had already confirmed it would work. Saved a few bucks by doing it myself with a little assistance.

Sure seems worth it to me, anything to keep the shop door open and bugs out.
I do paintless dent repair and is hard enough at my age without the bugs getting in my face all day.
The guy that was going to install it should be glad you found the text was a mistake before you shot him. lol

"By doing it myself" you mean the screen, right?

Whole assembly. Rolling in the screen to the pre-made track is challenging due the size of the opening. It wants to bunch up a bit if you do not install the pre-tension clips well. I found that once you start beading it, it is wise to use the clips you pull to add more to the long runs!
