I see it all the time. Wish I could call them out on it but it will only get deleted.

In the end if the buyer doesn’t look at prices elsewhere before paying too much for a non new item it’s the buyers fault.

I'm just talkin about the identical Parts not repops versus original.

I agree good used parts are better than new China crap, BUT I look at it like this, I try to charge just what it costs me if I sell something. . I had the deal recently I bought a used part, where the seller explained he had gas and time in getting it to me . A newbie member. I explained most members don't figure it like that. He agreed to simply charge postage. That was great, I appreciate the whole deal.
I hate Feebay where they figure postage and it is way high, but YOU can't give the seller a bad mark as FEEBAY figured it!! hahahahahahahahhah..... just shoot me!!!
I bought heavy cast iron bell from a member while back, and I know he had to have paid part of the shipping!

Mopar 340 High Volume Water Pump 8 Blade 1970 AAR Cuda TA Challenger | eBay

You realize the part you link is Made in China. The other one listed here is dated 2006 & Made in USA :usflag:

There's a difference IMO. Just sayin....:)

I was more making the comparison to the one that I had listed for myself, but that is the one that kind of brought my attention to the subject this morning. I didn't overstudy it I just wanted to b****..

I agree with you on the pricing of some parts for sale. If new it needs to be cheaper because I can't send it back. If used and good condition at least 1/2 of what new costs or I move on instantly. Shipping costs need to be considered when pricing an item.
Some folks pay stupid money for stuff I've given away or thrown away.

It is only money. If I need more, I just save up for a while and pay what I believe to be a fair price.

If I spent too much, well, that happens sometimes.

The important thing to remember is that I am building my car for me (and my son can have it after he prys my dead bloody knuckles off the steering wheel, and cleans the oil stains out of the driveway)

Of course it seems like on Craigslist here if somebody mentions the word "Mopar"?
And if it's a small block part they have to say the word 340. I don't care if it's a valve cover, if it's fuel pump or anyting the word 340 has to be mentioned in the ad LOL because it goes to a 340.

Well, what you can do when you see something like that? Immediately post your own sale add listing the identical item new, with shipping for a lower price.

If you want the World to change, it isn’t words that do it...it’s action. :poke:

Oh I'm not trying to piss people off. And me personally I'm not selling anything it's too much work.

Or a used, very used (lol) eddy performer intake for 20 dollars cheaper (+shipping) than summit brand new eddy performer (shipped free) …….… LOL

I have seen people leave a comment in classy ways calling this “mispriced item” to the sellers attention. It has been done to me in a very courteous manor so not only can I not complain but I am thankful of the mention. Otherwise I feel I would be just wasting everybody’s time and more so my own with a listing that will never sell.

Give a seller a PM in such a manor. (Nicely) It can only help all except the moron that thinks he has MoPar gold or the shyster looking to rear the bennifits of the unknowing.

Ah yes! This one vs the $60 unit for sale here.
What kind of there's different versions I guess of the same water pump? Also I heard some weird stuff about harmonic balancers on 360s between automatics and stick shift? Maybe a different part number but are they waited different? And then again someone today about air cleaners to actually said something like you can buy them new for $10 more new or something? Last I seen their post hadn't got erased.

Then of course the ensuing Chinese vs American or Original Part argument broke out which I wasn't meaning.
