I did the PA Vintage Plate/Antique Registration too. I recall they want the year the plate was issued to match the model year of the vehicle, but I have no idea how they verify that.

In PA, They allow you to register vintage plates on your car. I looked on eBay and found a vintage 69 plate and after checking the PA DMV website to make sure the plate numbers weren't being used (just like for vanity plates) I was able to register it as an antique (no emmisions, safety inspections or yearly registration charges) and display a vintage plate with the '69 sticker on it. I am not sure if Tennessee allows that, if it we're me I'd check.

Im not sure, i just keep my actual registered tag in my car under the front pass seat. Ive had a few cops behind me and never been bothered with it, for that matter i never have been pulled over in my demon lol knock on wood

what the ferds, chebies, and ricers get to read. LOL.............

I have an original WV 1948 tag registered to my 48 Willy's.

I have hanging on my wall a luck of the draw, just what the DMV gave me back in the 80's it was 8Y8 440, it is now bolted to my garage wall.

I did meet a vendor at either Carlisle or the Nat's this year from Petersburg WV.
Him and his wife are retired, and he restores license plates for a small fee.
I have his business card, I can post a picture if anybody is needing a plate restored.

Please do. May help someone who happens to stumble upon this thread

This is the gentleman who restores the plates.

I was going to take a picture of the plate on my 71 Demon bracket car, it seems someone took it off the car. The screws are laying under the car on the trailer, along with one of my screwdrivers I kept in the car for adjusting the carb. Damned thieves, it was a novelty plate not usable on the street. I read "BAD 71" with a Direct Connection frame.

I have:
6PKRTSE on my 70' Charger
HHHHEMI on my 70' Challenger
BAD RT on 70' Charger #2
488CUIN on my V10 Ram 2500
TRKPKRT on my 2012 Challenger 6 Spd.

My youngest Son put V8MAGNM on his little Dakota.

I bet not many of you got a large fine and almost a trip to jail for yours! I lasted nine years before getting caught with a chrome tag.
