Alright fellas so I finally got around to the break-in on the 440 chased a small water leak and power issue but got it all figured out. Went to crank it and it would not fire off. Checked that I’m compression on #1 and got everything as I thought it should be. Tried a tooth forward and a tooth back. Nothing. Checked spark and I know I’m definitely getting good spark. I primed everything really well and filled the bowls. Gave it a good many solid pumps. I noticed after pulling my #1 plug I didn’t smell fuel, out of curiosity I pulled #8 plug and I could smell fuel.
So my 2 questions
1. do I maybe have a fuel distribution problem or have I simply not given it enough fuel?
2. Have I cranked it over too much now and need to pull cam and re-lube??

double check the timing. Dont believe the balancer. I advance it until it kicks back then back of an 1/8th of an inch on the distrubitor.
