The first warning sign to me is wanting to ship to family and friends with paypal/ no paypal gauratees that way.

Guess I am one of those guys ask for a buck as goods and the rest friend to save everyone fees and I can print a shipping label out! Never really thought about it that way.

In this day & age, sellers using Paypal usually just list whatever the item is at their price knowing they will take a percentage hit.
That way, potential buyers do not have to be asked to step outside their comfort zone with no protection if the seller flakes on them.
If you need 20 bucks for it on your end, add the percentage then list it accordingly.
In other words, your asking price is the final price after Paypal fees.
