Park it where it is hard to get at, otherwise, with a rollback, and a winch, it's gone, regardless of what You've done to disable it. -- :( --
 
Two good size dogs, fence and locked gate if gone, insurance, loaded 38 special revolver and sawed off twelve gauge when home, and no qualms about using them.
 
Still thinking hidden wire and voltage. Touch the car without unhooking the hidden wire, and ZAP!

The PO ran a ground wire from the cigarette lighter to the coil. Push the lighter in and ground the coil.
Worked great but I went HEI and had to remove it
 
I worked in car audio, alarms, remote starts for eight years. Bottom line as stated before, you can only deter theft, not totally prevent. The satellite solutions for tracking for after the fact are your best bet for recovery. Geo-fencing options are nice. You can couple the sat tracking with a basic security system (door triggers, starter kill, hood and trunk triggers). I recommend either skipping the impact sensor or setting up very insensitive and skipping any perimeter sensors. These two items account for 90% of false alarms. There are digital tilt sensors which readjust when activated to account for parking on inclines and help to alert if the car is being jacked up for rim removal. The old mechanical ones were not very good. Another item to consider is a batter back up siren. If someone cuts power, it goes off. However, we often disconnect the batteries for our cars so don't forget to disarm the siren with the key. This siren can be used with or in place of the normal siren.

Personally I do not have any security on mine. I have it insured for more than I can sell it for. Depending on where I am at, I either lock the doors and roll up the windows, or just leave the windows down and leave it unlocked. Keep the tools in the trunk.
 
My car sleep in the garage with ignition & fuel pump disable. If it's sleeping out of the garage same thing but I have a baby monitor under the seat with receiver next to the bed. It's surprising how many person gets around your car mostly kids to look at it when your are not there.
 
lo jack is a good one to find it after you notice it is gone. other kinds of same system's on the market.
i have a easy and free one for you. go to any ford with a fuel shut off button in the trunk side support and grad it and wire it in any secret spot so you can kick/hit it to trigger the fuel or any other electrical start wire. i put mine behind the driver front kick panel and when i get out i tap it with my foot to trigger it. i also have a small hole for my finger to go push down the button and i start my car. no one ever noticed yet what i do when i get out or in and i never had it stolen yet.this was my lazy man trick but be creative and maybe put it in a console or under the dash for easy access. or just throw you big pet snake it it and the punks will look for something else to steal. i am a old fart but i am sure you can get a 10 year old to hook up your phone and get a notice when the door opens and the light comes on for a trigger for your phone to ring or something.
 
I put it in gear and chain my shifter to the firewall and back it up to my motelroom. And the cheap BFGs howl at the slightest slip. I leave the car doors unlocked so I don't have to worry about broken windows spoiling my tour.
If they come prepared with a bolt-cutter, I have several other deterrents,including leaving the line-loc on all night, so they will need to winch it up; and you know how noisy winches are..... and 4 howling BFGs I imagine are gonna be hard to sleep thru.Additionally, I have a three-foot coil wire, that I sleep with; the missing rotor is too obvious, so I don't bother taking it out, I just pull it up and give it a quarter turn and drop it down onto a second index I cut on the cam-tube; and since my battery is in the trunk, with the shut-off, and the hood don't open for just anybody; and....
And the rest I ain't saying.
