OK FABO, I need some opinions.
Building a '67 Valiant 2 door post to go drag racing with, and maybe take in the occasional cruise night. NOT a "show car". The car will be back halfed, tubbed, narrowed Moser 9", M/T drag radials, full cage, etc. It's 85% for the track, and 15% for street fun. No heater, radio, wipers, etc. Rear wheels are vintage polished Centerlines. Front wheels TBD, but not more than 4.5" wide. No hood scoop. Probably no rear wing. No wheelie bars. (I hope)
It will have a lot of contingency and sponsor decals, like most sportsman race cars.

I have been working on this thing for about a year now, and now I'm just starting the body work. I still can't make up my mind on what color it should be. Here's what I know... it's a race car, so it's going to get worked on a lot, and that means chipped and scratched. Decals will go on and come off. That eliminates "fancy" paints like candies and pearls. Probably a solid color would be best as far as touch ups and spot repairs go. It will be done in basecoat and clear. I don't really have a favorite color, I have vehicles that are red, black, orange, purple, blue and green.

I have been all over the place with ideas... like this:
Audi "Graphite Gray Metallic" (2017 S4 color)
GM "Martinique Blue Metallic" (Late 70's Trans-Am color)
Red - White - Blue (sort of like the old Sox and Martin Pro-Stocks)
MM1 Turbine Bronze
EL5 Bahama Yellow
FJ6 Green Go
FJ5 Lime Light (Sublime)
EK2 Go Mango

I don't want it White, Black or Pink. Almost anything else is on the table. I'd like something not as commonly seen as some of the above colors... maybe? Have you seen a car similar to this in a color that you really liked? What would you do? Open to all ideas.
Thanks, Garry

Photos of a couple of very similar cars... mines in no condition to be photographed.

impact colors I love... just not on 67-9 valiants which are my favorites. so weird. How about viper venom green

My 68 is EE Military blue I like mine ,sorry no pics it’s in the works also not the colour on my wall pic.

I think valiants looks best in low key colors. I dig the 'grandma grocery getter' look on them. Fancy loud in-your-face type paint jobs just never looked great to me on those cars. That silver one looks slick IMO.

Paint choice was the hardest and longest decision of my whole build...For months I looked at every single car on the road sizing up the colour..it was killing me...a chance visit with an old mate saw me going home with a can of Plum Crazy and silver metallic combo he had spare under the bench..still on there and still happy

Thanks for all the feedback and comments so far... I agree with those who mentioned cars like mine don't do as well with the high impact colors.
What about turquoise, or a very light yellow?

light yellow is called Ivory, I think. my 66 dart convert is that oem color. It's an OK color, too, but I was thinking of repainting it "Dusty Rose" which is kind of a lavender metallic with a slight reddish hue.

Turquoise looks good- check out shades of that color. Thanks again for all your help Garry! Music playing- I thought there was not enough bass coming from the 6x9's until I put the back seat in and then it sounded good.

Hey Garry, here's a pic of the '68 Valiant charity raffle car our Inland Mopars Car Club built a few years ago...
