2bbl to 4 bbl linkage tips.

I am getting a 68 satellite, and it is a complete virgin unmolested car. 318 with a 904. The plan is to build a mild 350-375 hp 360with an Edelbrock RPM performer intake and a TQ carb. I am hearing stories that there is no 4 bbl kick down brackets or linkage available for this car and that i have to go with a floor shifter and a full manual valve body?

If this is the case, i will leave it a stock 318 2 bbl and just drive it. Any help would be appreciated.
Well, I'm afraid you're listening to the wrong people. If you keep the 904, your shift linkages and column will work the same as now (a 360 is a small block, same as 318, with the same exterior dimensions as a 318). The kickdown linkage and throttle cable attachment brackets will have to be changed to 4bbl stuff...and ,yes ,its all available. A 340 throttle bracket will solve your throttle cable problems, and a 4bbl kickdown adapter (rod lengthener) will fix the K/D stuff. Do some searching here and Google to find the parts...they are available.
