Finally broke down and got a" REAL" Torque Converter!

This is my first real converter. In my minds eye, i thought it would almost free wheel until around 3500, then start to bit and full stall at 4200.

in the 70's it may have been that way but converter technology has come a long way.

go out for a drive.. cruise along at say 30 mph. then mash the pedal to the floor and see where the rpm's go. they should fly up.

then see how high you can get the rpm on the foot brake before the car starts to move. it should be pretty high.

if that converter is built correctly to your combo you should be pretty happy with it... not sure you'll see 1-2 tenths in the 60' though...
