have a 340 car 19 64 dart changed from points to electronic ignition ,do i need to put a dual ballist resistor in instead of the one i have ? or how should that be set up ? thanks

I NEVER answer anything electrical,( because I suck at it) BUT.. the 4 prong ECU uses a 2 terminal ballast and the 5 prong ECU uses the 4 terminal ballast. Correct me if wrong.

The M&H replacement and upgrade harnesses have the dual ballast so they will work with either the 4 pin or 5 pin ECUs. That way they are universal. If you have a harness with a dual ballast, that is ok, just one side won’t be used if you have a 4 pin ECU. Doesn’t hurt anything.

Agree, just different resistance ratings, top from bottom.

Yep, will work fine, just make sure that is hooked up so that current goes through resistor when engine is running so coil doesn’t burn up.
You can check this by pulling a lead off resistor while car is running. If car dies when you pull lead off resistor, it is hooked up correctly.
