Best transmission street/strip

I've seen numbers of 90 pounds on the 904 and 126 pounds on the 727. Also differences in 1/4 mile e.t.s of between .15 and .33 seconds by professional racers using same stall converters. When you hold a 904 fiber disc in one hand and a 727 fiber in the other you wonder if a third of a second is worth it on a mostly street car. There's a lot more profit in building 904s but a stock 727 will outlast a 904 with red eagle clutches and kevlar bands and all the goodies. Everybody agree?..okay, great!
