OK, then I would value the engine and trans separate from the car. 340's are not cheap, year, condition, complete etc, changes pricing. 4spds also have a number. Bell housing and clutch too. I would look at the value of those aside from the car and then make a reasonable offer. You will not lose money on a 340 and a 4spd if you pay fairly for it.

Haven’t checked tranny numbers, but no indication they are VIN matching. Fairly meaning? I just don’t know what that drive train is worth. Motor was tore down for rebuild, it’s all there and some is components are even new, but still, not assembled and running.
So packaged price for car, mtr, trans? $2k to much? Roof is hammered, but rest is pretty solid...
