Indy Heads Gen3 swap, MSD timing questions

Personally I would not use the MAP sensor to start if you think you are having timing issues. Set the advance to am RPM based map, just like an old school car. 12 crank, 15-20 initial and 35 all in by say 3500 and see how it responds. This eliminates one variable that can be added back in later for fine tuning.

Also can you tell us exactly what's happening? is it just low power? Does it fall on it's face? Could this actually be a carburetor issue?
