My '68 Dart has parts missing everywhere and lines that lead to nothing, this is one of them. What is that little black foot pad located above the high-beam switch? The lines lead to nothing on the other side of the firewall and when I pump it I can hear air being forced out the other side of the tubes. My (un)educated guess is that maybe it was originally some sort of manual foot pump for washer fluid squirters? But I really have absolutely no idea. I am just trying to make sure before I permanently remove parts for real.
Thank you in advance

It's to fill your tires with air when they get low. Don't be pulling his chain and telling him it's some goofy thing to clean your windows. Be Honest. :)

Well then I am going to swap this to my Jeep until I get a real compressor in there. Thank you for your honesty :thankyou:

Yep Chrysler went all out when they made those, no expense spared.

Back when rubber lasted fifty years.

Rubber at harbour fright lasts about fifty minutes

Guy visited a latex factory. During the tour, they entered a room where a bunch of machinces were boing "boom, sisssss, boom sisssss, boom, sisssss" The tour guide explained, in here, we are making baby bottle nipples. The boom is the machine forming the nipple, and the "sissss" is making the hole in the nipple.

They entered another room, where the machines were going "boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom, sissss"

Guide says, "in here, we are making condoms............"

Buy says "I understand, but what is that "sisss" every so often?"

Guide says "The boom is forming the condom, and the "sisss" is MAKING SURE THERE IS A MARKET FOR BABY BOTTLE NIPPLES!!"
