10 X 2-1/2” brake drums
So I just assembled the rear brakes on my “modified” 66” Barracuda. As I was getting ready to cut up the cardboard drum boxes, I wondered if anyone cared about the part numbers. So the drums are for 10 X 2-1/2” brakes. Big bolt pattern. (5 x 4.5”).
The heavy duty drums were bought at Advanced Auto as Raybestos part# 2963R
They are finned with a lip but clear the springs with 1-1/2” to spare.
Shoes were Wearever premium part# S333
Bender wheel cylinders 33597 (not sure of inside piston diameter.
Wearever spring kit 7129
Wearever adjuster kit 2528 drivers (left )
Wearever adjuster kit 2529 passenger (right)
Emergency brake cables: Wearever part#BCA 92698 for both sides.
Here is a picture of the drums- shoes and hardware look the same as all- nothing to show. Oh yea! I painted them black. They come sealed in a metal in a slight oily cosmoline like protectant.
