The bog might be carb related. Where is the vacuum hooked up to?
In the back of carb..just looked at manual and it says to hook up front rt port..I'll switch it and see.. tomorrow I'm going to try it with the vacuum advance and see what happens..carb is a thermoquad fresh rebuild..

Yeah, the back is full time vacuum source. Good for power brakes. That other one is ported, does not have vacuum at idle. Off idle, cruise and so forth has vacuum. Floor it,and no vacuum. Good for vacuum advance. Awhile back I helped a guy with a small block chevy in a blazer.would not idle in gear and was a dog down low. Undrivable. He insisted no vacuum advance. Well when he left for a while I hooked it up anyways. Yeap, that's what it needed.

...lol...Now that makes alot of sense..!!. Thanks..will let you know this afternoon..my neighbors are mad from yesterday..since I'm running open headers at the moment..

Ok got it as good as it will get with the proform distributor which don't offer any springs to make curve quicker....B's...I'm thinking of taking it apart and using my weights and springs/ shaft and just using the proform housing to give performance back the way it was...I found out my old distributor was on a sun machine to Max out at 36' at 2500rpm..
