Well this is the start of my new shed. How come no one warned me to build my garage BIGGER? Anyway my buddy Larry came up with these, they were throwing them away at his work. They are a perfect 6×8 and will be used whole for the floors and walls, stay tuned.

We can get free scrap pallets here at work iv known a couple ppl built really nice buildings out of them. One guy remodeled his kitchen in pallet slats looked like a log house kind of. I build a chicken coop lol. Following I can't wait to see how it turns out for you.

I guess that after your done building it, it won't be a "Palace" it will be a "Pallet"...
Waiting to see how it turns out!! I built a nice dining table out of some Oak pallets. It was hell pulling the nails. My friend helped me planing them down and dowel and glue them together. That old Oak is some tuff stuff!!! Treblig

For you drinkers out there, check out Pininterest for pallet bars. Lots of cool ones.

A loooong time ago my Dad built a shed out of wood ammo crates.
Putting the doors of the crates on the inside made for lots of shelves with doors on them, but it sure was a pain in the backside to find anything unless you knew which box it was in.

forgive me if im a little skiddish about this...but im afraid this will turn out quite sheddy
but then again, what wood you expect me to say?

Where you from!!! Pa!!????? ha I have seen chicben coops back in Mo. made out of them, but a garage!!??????????????/ I will stay tuned I might learn something! Good luck!

I wouldnt skimp on the floor. The pallet wood will rot very quickly.

The plan is to NOT create a proper foundation as that leads to a permanent building and extra taxes. So the concrete block will be laid in the ground and where there is 2 stacked on top (to level the block with the ground) we will liquid nail it to each other. We will then liquid nail a 2 × 8 to the top of the block to attach the pallets that will create the walls.

I put a extra 12 x 20 garage up, with no increase in taxes.
Bought a metal garage kit from Sheds-For-Less $1800 delivered.
But I placed it on concrete pillars, that I dug down into the ground, reinforced with re-bar, formed and mixed concrete by hand and poured them.
After the cement set up, used 6X6 treated posts around the perimeter and thru the middle.
Covered the 6X6's with black plastic for a moisture barrier, the covered them with treated 2X12's.
Basically built an over-kill deck.
Me and my neighbor assembled the building on a weekend.
After wiring with a few florescent lights, and plumbing for air, I have a nice storage building, that I can work in if necessary.
I did it for $2600 a couple years ago.
No increase in taxes because of the foundation, but I have a car stored in there, and alot of other stuff.

I bought two 40' connex boxes. Instant garage and they are water tight and secure.

Having over 20 years as a trucking company owner there is no way I would use pallets for building anything that goes inside your home. animal shelter (dog house), nor would I use them to build a bonfire in the backyard. Pallets are exchanged from business to business and there are all kinds of nasty chemicals that can end up on them. What looks like a good deal may end up causing you health problems later on. While you think your saving money it might end up costing you and your family a great deal more. Be safe and stay away from them.

Gonna be a lot of Iron City involved:lol:

I have about 20 acres in Eau Claire and grew up in the Burgh. Do what ya want, winter will tear it up in a couple of years anyway

I agree. A lot of the pallets that are used to transport food products are loaded into a trailer and fumigated for bugs and vermin before they go into production. Nasty stuff.
