Throttle cable linkage

I am not expert on this but..... The OP says he has Lokar cables for both. So the above links, while excellent, do not help him. OP, have you figured it out yet? That throttle bracket on the side of your carb is unfamiliar to me, but an I am not sure it is workable without an adpater bolted on the side for the downshift cable.

The upper 'boss' looks to be for a loose-ended throttle cable. I bet that can be unbolted with a small nut on the backside, and a pin like shown in above link put in its place for that 'sketchy' throttle cable. Or, for the Lokar throttle cable, a ball can be put there.

It is the bottom that is the issue; there is no 'tab' extending below the center of the primary throttle shaft to get adequate movement on the downshift cable. If the lower end was extended longer, then a ball for the trans cable can be bolted into one of the lower holes.

Below is a pix from my son's 'cuda with a Holley vacuum secondary carb with the Lokar stuff. You can see how far below the primary throttle shaft the downshift cable attached in our installation; that distance is necessary to generate adequate motion on the downshift cable.

BTW, I bet you will get better responses and expertise in the transmission subforum, and more search results.
