Cinnamon 75 Duster \

So, last week on the way to the show...I get a few miles up the road and brake pedal goes way too far trying to stop. :wtf: Pulled in a lot and checked- fluid for back brakes is really low. :BangHead: Walk over to Giant fuel kiosk and see if they have brake fluid. Nope "and I will save you a trip, the store doesn't have it either"
Crawled around under it and nothing appeared wet, so figured it was a gradual loss. My bad for not paying attention and checking level more often. So I drove around the lot a little to be sure I had some brakes and then continued up the road a few miles without issue to get a quart of fluid at advance. Unfortunately I had already got some air in the lines. But with a double pump of the foot it was very solid. So continued on to the show.
I checked and bled. As far as I saw, nothing leaking. It was definitely losing most of the fluid right out of the MC cap.. Had some rust around the rim. cleaned that up good and seal still looks ok. It made a mess of the paint on master and a bit of the firewall down behind bubbled up. :BangHead: Siphoned out what was left in MC. Then ran a fresh quart through the system. Spongy brakes no more.
Had the pressure washer handy, so gave a quick blast under the hood to get the brake fluid off. While I had the front wheels off I hit the suspension with pressure washer. Then did the rest of the car. Took it for a test drive - all good.
