Bet most of you have never seen one of these.

I recently bought a cabin in the appalachians and this was part of the many items left over unclaimed on the property.

It’s a 1969 Barracuda Hydra cycle.
Looks like a bad *** early version of the ski-doo with a friggin boat motor bolted to the back of it.
Mine is missing the engine but the mechanicals are still intact.
I need to locate a motor and oh hell Yeah Im gonna restore this.
Paint scheme is going to be Be hemi orange and oh yes AAR STRipes.
Some pics of My basket case and some of an unused survivor.

I know.
Some of the brochure pics show it catching some nice air...haha.
There’s a cool video on YouTube of a guy running one like a scalded cat on a lake.
After watching g that video I need to do this .

Wow, that thing brings some memories. A friends dad bought one of those in 1968 and I got to drive it on Storm Lake, IA. It had an old Johnson motor that I don't know the size of, but it felt like the thing was going 100mph!

Hay @cudaspaz !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great old find  man it has been 8 or more years, great to see you jump in as I wake this morning.
Hope all is well and we see more of you here..

No.. I don't and really don't understand, ho !! Greenbays game play , I looked it up

Yeah it would take some
Time as I have to rebuild the entire cabin from roof to floor trusses.
And a workshop and three outbuildings all need work on my days off which will be few and far between.

If you build it like you did the crate you sent that 8 3/4 to me in it won't fall down for sure, Joe

Oh yeah I remember that crate.
I go a bit overkill sometimes.

I think I’ll try to locate an original Chrysler (35) outboard for that thing to keep it true to stock.

There’s a video on YouTube of a guy with one of those Chrysler (35)’s attached to a small’ish blue boat and that thing runs like a scalded cat.
Once I saw that video it pretty much made up my mind for me.
