Saw it last night - I had forgotten the plot twist - chase scene meant to be seen on big screen with full audio. All of 12 people in the audience! Cute preview ad with the Bullitt Mustang and Charger in the parking garage.

Big AVS + unsilenced air cleaner + 2 1/2 inch exhaust + that Roadrunner cam + Skinny bias ply tires = beautiful music. If only they let the left turn burnout at the beginning of the chase continue through second gear. Cut off way too soon in my book.

Original was cool. Would like to see a remake.

Nah. The original was damn near perfect. Besides, modern Chargers and Mustangs, as cool as they are, only have a fraction of the charisma of the 1968 models. So you just know that any remake of this movie would use the old cars and just result in smashing up MORE classic Chargers. :(

...And there was one cuss word that I recall. Kinda refreshing to see a movie with a plot, no gratuitous nudity and not a cuss-fest..

I hear ya there...Sometimes you can tell when the R-rated stuff is thrown in unnecessarily and it feels pretty gross IMO... but I think it’s just as bad when this stuff is cut out from scenes where it belongs just to avoid offending folks who faint at the F-word or lose total control of their emotional state at the sight of a nipple.

Bullitt does a good job by all measures, IMO.

Most definitely agree.
