Set up for a smallblock race engine on pump gas 600hk

My W5 motor( when i had it) MIGHT have made a true 640, and it went 9.80’s at 135.car weighed 3350 with me in it on super stock springs. And taking 40 horse from that isnt gonna make a huge difference
If its 32-3300 pounds and isnt running WELL over 130 it aint making 600.
Not trying to bust balls, just a realist. People often toss numbers around that have zero realism at the track.

That will all depend on whether we’re talking corrected hp numbers and such. If I take my time slip, plug it into the famous Wallace racing calculator and correct for the DA that day to sea level, my numbers come out to 600 hp. But that’s at sea level with that combination. Actual horsepower where I live? Not quite as much. But like you I don’t like to get wrapped around numbers so much as I do seeing real track data. That’s the real thing.
